Transforms that have been modified on one compensation matrix can be copied to another matrix.

FlowJo ties transformation settings to compensation matrices. Ideally, all files from the same experiment should have the same transform to allow for direct comparison. Our working assumption is that if files are from the same experiment, they will all share a compensation matrix and thus we automatically update the transform for all files based on compensation matrices.

In the world of high-parameter data analysis the need to adjust many parameters, each slightly differently may arise. The compensation editor can be used to copy the full set of compensation adjustments including type of transform, width basis, and range.

To access the tool, open the compensation editor by double-clicking on any compensation matrix. Then click on the matrix that has the desired settings, choose copy, click on the target matrix and click paste. Transform setting will update and this will be automatically reflected on all plots.
