FlowJo Envoy is divided into two main screens called views, each with its own tab near the top of the browser window. These two views are called Workflows view and Explore view.

Header Tabs

  • To display a view, click that view’s tab. The tab turns white, and the view is displayed.

Workflow view is composed or two views.

  • Workflow Filter view provides a list of workflows you can use to organize workflows, and to check workflow and step state. You can also do some high-level editing, such as creating a new workflow.
  • Workflow Detail view provides more detailed editing of a specific workflow and its steps, such as assigning steps or changing the state of a step or workflow.

To display Workflow Detail view from Workflow Filter view, double-click the desired workflow.

To return to Workflow Filter view from Workflow Detail view, click the Close button at the upper-right corner of Workflow Detail view.

Context

In most cases, if you select an item in one view, FlowJo Envoy remembers the selection when you change to another view.

For example: If you select a study called “Index Sort” in Workflow Filter view, then switch to Explore view, the same study is selected there, also. If you then select another study called “Marker Validation” there, and switch back to WorkflowFilter view, the Marker Validation study will be selected there.

Which item is selected at a given time determines what operations are available, and what that operation will be performed on. For more about context, see Importance of Context.
