Upload Files

All files uploaded to FlowJo Envoy become part of a workflow, study, or project within the FlowJo Envoy data structure.

Note: All files that are uploaded while a step is highlighted are tagged with the name of that step in file listings. This tag is generated by FlowJo Envoy and cannot be changed. All files uploaded while a workflow, study, or project is highlighted are not tagged with a step name.

Upload files using one of the following three methods from either Explore view or Workflow Detail view.

Upload by Dragging to the Upload Box

  3. In your operating system’s file system, locate the files you want to upload, and select them.
  4. Drag the files to the Upload box.

Check Status of Uploading Files

All FlowJo Envoy functionality is available while files upload. While files are uploading, you can check status in the Uploads window, which is located at the lower right.

This window contains a scrollable list of all files that a registered FlowJo Envoy user has attempted to upload and have not been dismissed from the list. Each entry includes a filename and file size. This window is draggable, and is always available, even if you switch to another view.

If the network connection is lost before all files have been uploaded, all files are set to Pending. FlowJo Envoy will attempt to upload the files when the connection is restored.

Upload Status

  • Pending—The file has been queued for upload, but is waiting for other files to complete.
  • Failed—The file could not be uploaded.
  • In Progress—The file is in the process of uploading.
  • Completed—The file was successfully uploaded.

Cancel an Upload

To cancel an upload, locate the file in the list, and click the Cancel button next to it.

To cancel all uploads, including all Pending and In Progress uploads, click the Cancel button at the top of the Uploads window.

Dismiss an Upload Status

Note: Dismissing an upload does not stop an upload in progress; it only removes its status from the list.

To remove a status reading from the upload list, click the Delete button next to the status listing. Download Footer Close
